Make a Tough Job Easy with Norwex Oven & Grill Cleaner

Another product I believe is truly a life saver is Norwex Oven & Grill Cleaner.

Yes not everyone has a self cleaning oven, or perhaps it does not do a good enough job. ;-)

Have you ever wondered what ingredients a product contains in order for it to do the job it claims?

How can oven cleaners  melt away the baked on grease and grime?

The more I become involved with Norwex the more curious I am about labels and what type of toxic risks I am subjecting myself, my family and my environment too.

After doing some research I found that most oven cleaners include caustics, such as either sodium hydroxide (lye),or potassium hydroxide. These products commonly have a high pH.

The fumes from these products are hazardous and irritating to the eyes and throat and can also cause chemical skin burns. Accidental contact with these cleaners can cause severe damage to the eyes.

Not to mention if you happen to over spray you can damage your floors, counter tops etc.

Unfortunately these products are considered more effective when used with a heated oven which increases the toxic traits.

So the next question I ask myself is what are my choices?

All this information made that easy.  Norwex Oven & Grill Cleaner.

It really was amazing. I was able to clean my oven with  just one application and no one in my family had to evacuate our home.  The pH of 9 means that it is non acidic.  I do not even have to use gloves!

There are no toxic chemicals involved.  The microbes and enzymes do the work.  All I had to do is preheat my oven to 100 F, apply the Norwex Oven & Grill Cleaner, wait for 5 minutes, and wipe with my Norwex All Purpose Kitchen Cloth.  Some of the really tough spots required a scrubbing with a Spirisponge.

Overall it took me 10 minutes to get my oven sparking clean and keep my family’s health, and our  environment on the right path.
